They've finally arrived in the UK, and will be shipping this week! As previously stated, we have the Classic (1 foot), Little and Clip-on versions of all 4 - no 2 footers, unfortunately.
The good news is we also have series 2 of the Vinyl Uglydolls (see picture).

The new Uglydolls should be hiiting the UK's shores mid-May, so we should have them available for sale towards the end of May. We will be receiving the Classic (1 foot), Little (7 inch) and Clip-on versions for each of the following beauties:
We now know the names of all the 8 new Uglydolls to be released in 2010! They are (deep breath...):
Mynus, Picksey, Pointy Max, Ket, Nandy Bear, Ninja Batty Shogun, Cozymonster and Wippy. And here they are, in name sequence.
We are most intrigued the names by Ninja Batty Shogun and Cozymonster, but we like the look of Nandy Bear and Wippy best - can't wait to see them in person!
There's also news that the Totebags will soon be available in 4 colours (collect them all, they suggest, but then they would, wouldn't they?), and Series 2 of the Vinyl Action Figures are to be released in see-through boxes. Maybe now we'll know who's inside for a change?
And finally, we hear there will be a special edition of Big Toe in multiple colours - remember last year's Ox Uglyverse set? Like that.

And another new Ugly for 2010! Here we have Mynus, and she's a bit of a shy one.
Everybody thinks Mynus is quiet and shy, but to her they all make way too much noise. While Mynus may seem silent and introverted at first, she is actually in deep thought most of the time. What about? No clue! She’s quiet, remember?
When you’re in trouble Mynus is the one to turn to. She’s got some brilliant ideas, and seems to have everything figured out way ahead of time. It’s almost like she’s psychic! Can’t find anything to write with? Mynus will be standing there with a pen.
Can’t find your keys? Mynus drove off with your car.
Hopefully we'll be seeing the 2010 Uglydolls in April.
Firstly, there's Pointy Max Uglydoll - dark green and sporting a triangular head, a single eye and two sharp teeth. Max will be available in all sizes, and is due for release in the USA in January.
You can't control Pointy Max. You can't stop Pointy Max. You can't tell Pointy Max what to do. Oh, wait - is that cheese? Then you own Pointy Max. OK, so other than the weakness for cheese, Pointy Max can't be beaten. Good luck trying to hold him down! It won't happen! Or it might happen if you sit on him. If you can't beat 'em, join 'em? Now that it's clear that you and Pointy Max are on the same side, perhaps you could let him in on your plans and dreams? Perhaps together, you'll be unstoppable.
Second is Picksey Uglydoll - a soft cream colour, with red eyes, a pale blue tongue and wings like Icebat. Not sure when Picksey will be relased yet...we'll let you know.
Picksey is an inter-dimensional being. He can be in many places at the same time. That explains why you saw several Pickseys at the store you found him in. Pretty neato, huh. Yes well despite his ability, Picksey seems to be stressed out pretty much all the time. You may need to help him keep his cool at times. This can usually be achieved through hugs, kisses, and contributions to his chocolate bar fund.

We have learned that the next shipment of Uglydolls will be hitting the UK shores sometime in September. We are hoping that all the new 2009 batch will be included, but until those containers are prized open, we just can't be sure.
In the mean time, have alook at this video of David Horvath giving a lesson on how to draw Uglydolls (well, Babo in this case).

David Horvath has been in the news again, and we at FBF learned somthing we didn't know (how can that be?!).
"Babo...is a blockheaded blue monster who will run at the first sign of trouble. The name came from a Korean word that means "fool." It was also Kim's affectionate nickname for Horvath while the two were college sweethearts."

News has come in that confirms the production release of Uppy will be in pink with a sky blue tongue, not blue as in the initial pre-production models (see 19 Dec 2008).
With those large, wing-like ear and his hands up in the air, it gives the appearance that Uppy is in flight…taking to the heavens, if you will.
You'll never meet anyone more optimistic than Uppy. He's super positive! He's positive that the snack you have in your hand belongs to him, and that your bank account should be in his name, not yours. Uppy is sure of things. He's sure that you guys would make the perfect team, and that your team should make it's way down to the bakery to order something really super delicious. You handle the money part and Uppy is sure he can do all the eating. No worries.

Trunko is over the top. He freaks out over everything and overreacting is his hobby. When the chips are down, he orders a million more chips at wholesale prices. Where there's smoke there's fire...and there's Trunko using a fire hose to put out his birthday candles. Full throttle, go go go...You know how you look before you leap? Yeah, that's not Trunko. So please be patient with him. Please be a pal. Please use caution.
Turny and Burny (black/white or pink/blue)
Turny Burny are best friends, and big trouble makers. Although, they insist it's their all just a misunderstanding, and that the trouble making is all being done by their dopplegangers from an alternate dimension. Do you ever get Deja vu? Well, Turny Burny insists that everytime you feel Deja vu, there's a dimensional portal opening up somewhere. Soo, so those missing cakes and pies went through a portal, and these guys had nothing to do with it! Are you ready to take sides? Both?
Fea Bea (blue or yellow ugly stick)
Ugly Sticks are sort of like the perfect sidekicks to have with you at all times in the Uglyverse. They are there for you. Feeling sad? Ugly Sticks will knock that right out of you. POW! Happy now? No wait... Feeling really Ugly? GOOD! Ugly means UNIQUE! Anyone can retouch a photo to look beautiful, but you can't fake Ugly! Celebrate how truly Ugly you really are with Ugly Stick and show us what you're got!
Winkolina
You may look at Winkolina and say "There goes a really plain, regular, every day looking Ugly." But on the inside, Winkolina is an adventure waiting to happen. Which is funny because she sees that in you too! Winkolina thinks you have nothing but action and adventure locked away, way deep down! Is she right? Are you ready to show the world what you've really got going on in there? Winkolina has 6 cookies, an apple and 11 tacos in there. What about you?
Mr Kasoogi & Mrs Kasoogi
Mrs. Kasoogi is the boss in the family. She makes sure tings run without snags and she keeps Mr. Kasoogi out of the cookie jar. That way there's more for her! MRs. Kasoogi demands respect and attention. Attention to details! Small details such as where to find buried treasure, paranormal evidence, the secret of life, the secret to your best recipes, and the secret to finding enough time in the day to get things done. Things like naps.

And now a sneak preview of the new uglydolls due to be released in 2009! We only have details on the first and the last - Trunko and Uppy - and as yet we don't have details of their personalities or back-story.
TrunkoUglydoll will be the first, and Uppy Uglydoll the last, but we are being kept guessing as to who will come in-between.

Ugly Ghost has arrived! We have all 4 sizes - 2 foot, Classic, Little and Clip-on, so get them while they're hot. Or cold. Or whatever ghosts are.
Whist looking around...you may notice that a batch of new Little Uglydolls have also been quietly released onto an unsuspecting audience. We have Icebat Red, Wedgehead Grey, Moxy Blue, Uglydog Pale Pink and last, and definitely not least, Moxy Pink.

We heard today that Pretty Ugly, the Uglydoll manufacturer, sold their millionth ugly recently! Not bad for a bunch of creatures that started out as an idle doodle...
Ugly Ghost is set to make his appearance in early to mid October. He is the last of the new 2008 Uglydolls to be released this year, and many are saying he's their favourite already. We're divided on that here at FBF, though one of our staff most definitely agrees.
Feel free to let us know what you think - and send in those pictures for a chance to win a Little Uglydoll.

Puglee has arrived!!! We are pleased to say that the latest Uglydoll to hit our shores is available at last, and all our pre-orders were shipped today. She is the most vibrant pink (lobster?) of all the uglies, and is oh so cute.
With a piggy nose and trotters, there is little doubt that her design owes something to our porcine friends. Frankly, she looks great on it. She is also reputed to be the cleverest of the Uglydolls - only time will tell...
Only Ugly Ghost to go now, and the full batch of 2008 Uglydolls will have been released. We are still being told it will be October - we'll keep you updated as the news comes in.

The latest news is that the containers will be with us mid-August, a little later than hoped. All the clan are waiting with bated breath...
As already stated, apart from re-stocking some of the uglies we have been unable to get for a while, there will also be Puglee, and the 2 Foot versions of Puglee, Poe, Babo's Bird and Plunko. We can't wait!
12 Aug - update. It looks like they will be shipping from about the 25 August (fingers crossed).

We have just heard that the container load with the new release Uglydolls will be reaching us hopefully at the end of July (Customs permitting).
This shipment includes all sizes of the new Puglee (contender for this editor's best ugly doll ever), plus the 2 Foot Poe, Plunko and Babo's Bird.
It also includes a few oldies that have been out of stock for a while, so watch this space.

After just over a month on release, we though you might like to know who's the most popular new uglydoll (according to our sales). And the winner is...
The new ugly dolls include the Classic, Little and Clip-on models (apart from Target and Cinko, who are only being made in the Classic size). Unfortunately we are going to have to wait until July for the 2 Foot Uglies.
July should also see the release of Puglee (below). We are divided over Puglee. This author thinks Puglee is one of the best Uglydolls ever, but some of the team think he really lives up to the name of Ugly... Let us know what you think?

We have just been told that the new Uglydolls will be with us by Wednesday 21 May (so we are crossing fingers very tightly). As soon as they do we will ship all pre-orders immediately. Our apologies, and thanks to everyone for their patience.

Well, the bad news is that there has been a delay in the manufacture of the new uglydolls. We are now being told that they won't be with us until mid-May. Sorry about that.

Another picture of Poe to keep us all going until the end of April.
It has been said that Poe looks rather like Icebat. There are a number of differences, however, not least that Poe is the first pea-green uglydoll (he's a dragon, anyway, not a bat!). He also only has 2 teeth (Icebat has 4) and both the wings and ears on Poe are longer than Icebat’s. Plus, Icebat has feet...

You know how everyone looks like their pet? Well, Babo looks just like his pet peeve! BIRDS! Babo can't stand birds! They always eat the crumbs his cookies leave behind! One bird has taken a liking to Babo and now likes to call him mommy. Sounds serious, right? And Babo doesn't have a mean bone in his body. So now Babo's Bird is...Babo's bird. Luckily Babo doesn't have shoulders either. Have any cookie crumbs?
Plunko is a business man. He’s got his own car wash, his own tyre store, and ideas for lots of other stores. Some of those ideas are his very own! Plunko is a good guy to know - he's got connections. And if you call Plunko’s phone, you may get a bad connection. So anyway, are you sold on Plunko? Are you ready to do business? Plunko is the ultimate business partner because he only wants 100% of your love and even less of your money.
Puglee is super smart. How can you tell? You know how they say if you get really good grades, you’ll have a better shot at getting a really great job? Well Puglee figured out that a great way to avoid getting a job was to get the worst possible grades ever! Only an F- would do. But here’s the problem... Puglee LOVES to read, write, and count. So she gets all A’s no matter how hard she tries! Puglee is also smart enough to know that life isn’t about getting a grade. It’s about the special bond she now has with you.
Ugly Ghosts can be found way out beyond the back exits of Uglytown. If you ever decide to go camping near those trees just beyond the gates of the big city, you may be lucky enough to see one! Boo! Boo! Is that some sort of scare tactic or is he trying to tell you his name? Or is it Karaoke night? Hard to tell. But one thing is certain... Ugly Ghosts are good to have around if you can find a way to make friends with them. Try leaving out some sweet snacks under the bed.
Target is the grandpa of the Uglydolls. That's why he has hair! The other Uglydolls are a bit scared of Target's body hair, and wonder why he has so many arms. But they come running to Target when there are questions to be answered. Old age may bring Uglydolls a few extra arms and whiskers, but it also brings wisdom and foresight. Target is often bailing the other Uglydolls out of trouble and getting them into more sophisticated forms of mischief. And now he has a Sun-Tan!
Cinko is afraid of water. What if he gets thirsty? Aren’t our bodies mostly water? What if he takes his family to the drive-thru window and everyone orders water? Can Ice-Bat melt? Are tears water? Cinko needs help. Cinko needs you. The best way to keep Cinko calm is to sit him down next to you to watch TV. Watch something about dry stuff. Maybe sit him on a towel. Those are dry. Or tell him your best joke. No, the other one.
Poe is an Ugly Dragon. Ugly Dragons come from the Ugly Dragon Mountain. But Poe has left the safety of his caverns is search of his big dreams. The other day he had a big dream about a big scoop of Ice Cream. Chocolate. While most Ugly Dragons sleep all day and fly all night, Poe is more into cars, trucks, bikes, and anything that lets him sit down while moving. Flying is hard. You have to flap your wings around all the time! Can Poe roll with you?

Good news! Cinko will not be retiring as feared (see our History of The Uglydolls) due to David Horvath's new and improved Cinko coming in April 2008. The new-look Cinko (on the left of our picture) is cuter than ever!
